By accessing or using Repo2Txt (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Repo2Txt ("we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the Service.

2. Description of Service

Repo2Txt is a free, client-side web application that converts source code repositories into plain text files suitable for pasting into Large Language Model (LLM) chat interfaces such as Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT. The Service runs entirely in your web browser and does not transmit your files to any server.

3. License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Repo2Txt for your personal or commercial development purposes. This license is free of charge and has no expiration.

You may use the output generated by Repo2Txt (the converted text files) for any purpose, including commercial use, subject to the licenses of the original source code you converted.

4. Your Files & Content

You retain all rights, title, and interest in the files you process with Repo2Txt. We claim no ownership over your code, configuration files, or any other content you convert using the Service.

Because Repo2Txt runs entirely in your browser, we never have access to your files. We cannot view, modify, or recover your files under any circumstances.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Repo2Txt to:

• Convert code that you do not have the right to access or convert.
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious code.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code from the Service beyond what is already publicly available.

6. Intellectual Property

Repo2Txt, including its source code, design, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by Mehar Ali and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The source code may be available for review and self-hosting under a separate license.

The names and logos of third-party AI models referenced in the Service (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, etc.) are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here for identification and comparison purposes only. Repo2Txt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• The token estimates or cost calculations provided by the Service are accurate.
• The codebase health scores reflect actual code quality.
• The Service will meet your specific requirements.

AI model pricing data is sourced from official vendor pages as of late 2025 / early 2026 and may change without notice. Always verify current pricing directly with the model provider before making purchasing decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Repo2Txt or its creator be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service.

Because the Service is free and runs entirely in your browser, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed USD $0.00.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Repo2Txt and its creator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using Repo2Txt at any time by closing your browser tab. Because we do not collect any personal information, there is no account to delete. These Terms will remain in effect while you use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. Because the Service is client-side, you can continue using any version you have downloaded or self-hosted even if we discontinue the hosted version.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

If we make material changes that affect your rights, we will provide prominent notice on the Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Because Repo2Txt is a free, open tool with no commercial transactions, we prefer to resolve any disputes informally via the communication channels listed below.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
